About ComputeYard

ComputeYard is a collection of free investing and trading calculators. The goal is simple: tools that are fast, free, and provably correct, with the formula and a worked example shown on every page so you can check the result yourself instead of trusting a black box.

An independent project

ComputeYard is an independent project, built and run without outside backing. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for. Because a calculator is only as good as its math, every tool shows its formula, states its assumptions, and is backed by automated tests, so you can verify any result yourself rather than take ours on trust. The Methodology page shows exactly how.

Why it is free

The calculators are free and need no account or signup. We cover hosting and development through display advertising and affiliate links to tools we think are genuinely useful, such as charting platforms. Affiliate links are always labelled, and a referral never changes a result or which tools we show you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the detail.

Editorial independence

Calculations are driven entirely by the formula and your inputs. No advertiser or affiliate partner can influence a number, a ranking, or what a tool tells you. If a result ever looks wrong, that is a bug we want to fix, not a position we are defending.

What this is not

ComputeYard is an educational tool, not a financial adviser, broker, or trading platform. The calculators give estimates to help you understand the math, not personal investment, tax, or financial advice.
