Privacy Policy

ComputeYard provides free investing and trading calculators. We try to collect as little as possible. You do not need an account, and the calculators run without you giving us any personal details.

What we collect

• Calculator inputs are sent to our server only to compute a result and are not stored or linked to you.
• Analytics (cookieless): we use Umami, self-hosted first-party analytics that sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records aggregate page views and approximate country only, with no cross-site tracking, and runs for all visitors (including the UK and EEA) on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding traffic.
• Analytics (Google, US only): outside the UK and EEA we also use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google), which loads in a consent-denied state and only sets cookies after you accept via the cookie banner. It is not served to UK/EEA visitors. We do not sell personal data.
• Advertising (if/when enabled): ad partners may set cookies to show and measure ads. These load only after you accept cookies.
• Contact form: if you message us, we keep what you send (and your email, if you provide it) to reply and improve the tools.

Cookies & consent

Essential cookies make the site work. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept via the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time via Cookie settings in the footer. EU/UK visitors are asked to consent before any non-essential cookies load.

Lawful basis & retention

Where UK/EU data-protection law applies, our lawful bases are: legitimate interests for keeping the site secure; consent for any advertising or analytics cookies (given via the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time through Cookie settings); and legitimate interests in handling and replying to messages you send us. We keep contact-form messages for up to 24 months and then delete them; aggregate analytics are retained per our provider's defaults. Calculator inputs are processed transiently and never stored.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA (for example our hosting, CDN, analytics and email providers in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. UK/EU GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or opt out of the "sale"/sharing of your data. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact us.

Third parties

We use Umami (self-hosted, cookieless first-party analytics), Google Analytics 4 and, where enabled, Google AdSense (both Google products, which may process data in the US), and affiliate programs such as TradingView. Affiliate links may set a cookie so a partner can credit a referral; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
